Where's the panic? If our wealthiest young males, future men of capitalism, eligible bachlors, heirs to the throne with good looks and automatic riches were STARVING THEMSELVES TO DEATH right in front of our very eyes wouldn't we be freaking out???

Doesn't it mean something that these women are diminishing? If they are the icons of some sort of American Dream, the women of the future that young girls now should want aspire to... then what is their visible wasting away symbolizing to our culture? And when the fuck are we going to start paying attention?

The very top right photo and the above left are pictures of Allegra Beck Versace that recently appeared in People Magazine. And can I ask why there are no tabloid headlines or swirling rumors about Allegra Beck Versace possibly struggling with anorexia too?! Maybe her money talks, or rather, silences... Allegra recently inherited the Versace fashion empire and is a young female millionaire.

And why are all of our country's most powerful (meaning the most wealthy) young attractive women (Allegra and Mary-Kate Olsen and Paris Hilton come to mind) starving away their strength and power and instead of taking over the world, taking over the treatment centers?? When are we going to wake up in the United States and acknowledge it is a serious problem when females shrink rather than grow up and take charge? I love this country, but it's going backwards and we can't let this happen. Why doesn't the media, which has been indisputably linked to eating disorders, take any responsibility? If we can clearly influence each other to the point of terminal emotional sickness, why the fuck can't we use that same medium and influence each other in a positive way???
