S t a r v i n g F o r A t t e n t i o n

Just like we are all starving for attention (and love, self-worth, value, happiness, respect, talent, beauty, acceptance, self-esteem, etc.), so are some people who work in our beloved Hollywood.

Growing up in L.A. played a direct role in my disordered eating, as the shadow cast by the Hollywood sign engulfed me and the other hundreds of young people at my high school. We all wanted to be Somebody and we were told that in order to fulfill such dreams we must look the part. This is a destructive message that goes out to kids across the world and I wish it weren't passed along, it is only dangerous and never helpful; it is only an illusion and never positive; it is only a trap and never ending... so don't believe the hype.

The images here do not intend to know for certain whether these people have disordered eating... but they are, in my opinion only, damaging images because they are not, simply, realistic. If you only knew the work photographers and film editors and computer scanners do in order to make these people appear "perfect" you would only BEGIN to grasp the CRAZY distorted society we adhere to...

I'm quite serious, the conspiracy, my friends, is much deeper than you think.

And again, please note these photos are NOT meant to ENCOURAGE eating disorders, but to DISCOURAGE them... look, learn, and don't become!
